But...</title><content type='html'>The elbow is a devastating and vicious weapon. But it shouldn&amp;#39;t really be much more so than other basic strikes. Meaning, if done properly, other basic strikes can generate as much or more power. I think the elbow has that much prominence above other types just through pure association - beginners can do it relatively easy and be very effective ... whereas other staples like punching may be used in a controlled situation like sparring and therefore may be relegated as &amp;#39;not as vicious&amp;#39;.
